Shaun-Paul Lopez leads the coaching floor at Fencing Masters, with over 20 years of experience across foil, sabre and épée in both group and individual lessons. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Science from the University of Western Australia, and earned a Diploma in Coaching in foil, épée and sabre at the International Coaching Course at the University of Physical Education (Testnevelési Egyetem) in Budapest, on an IOC Olympic Solidarity Scholarship.
He also holds the grade of Prévôt in fleuret, épée and sabre from the Académie d'Armes Internationale (AAI) in Bad Karlshafen, Germany, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition from the IOC. He is NCAP Theory Level 3 and SG-Coach Level 1 (Fencing) certified. A competitor as well as a coach, Shaun-Paul was a 2007 Novices champion in Men's Individual Épée, Men's Team Épée and Men's Team Foil. He specialises in developing age-group champions and guiding fencers through competitive development, while coaching students of every age and level.
Based in Singapore, Shaun leads the club's day-to-day training and holds the fort while Jeffrey travels with the competition squad, and he is on the strip at competitions himself. Together they carry the Fencing Masters standard forward.
