Build stronger teams through fencing

Want something your team will actually talk about afterwards? Put a sword in everyone's hand. Fencing gets people communicating, thinking on their feet and reading each other fast, and yes, the newest hire gets a sanctioned shot at scoring a touch on the boss. Beginner-friendly, fully coached, all gear provided.

Why fencing for team building?

Fencing is a fast read on how a team really works. People have to talk under pressure, pick a plan, commit to it, and respect whoever is standing across from them. The lessons about focus and split-second decisions travel straight back to the office.

We run the whole thing for you. Your team takes on real challenges, wins a few bouts together, and walks away with a shared story, the kind that keeps coming up by the coffee machine for months.

What teams develop

Communication

Fencing requires clear communication and active listening. Team members learn to give and receive feedback, coordinate movements, and support each other's development.

Strategic thinking

Every bout teaches tactical awareness. Teams develop the ability to analyse situations, adapt strategies, and make decisions under time pressure.

Resilience & grit

Fencing teaches that setbacks are learning opportunities. Teams build resilience and persistence by overcoming challenges together in a supportive environment.

Respect & inclusivity

Fencing is one of the few sports where age, size, and gender do not determine success. Teams experience how diverse perspectives strengthen collective performance.

Shared achievement

Whether competing as individuals or teams, fencing creates moments of genuine accomplishment. Teams bond through celebrating progress and supporting each other's growth.

Fun & engagement

Fencing is genuinely enjoyable. Teams leave energised, with a unique story to share and a deeper sense of connection.

From corporate clients

We engaged Fencing Masters for a company team-building day and it exceeded expectations. The coaches were professional, made the activity accessible for all skill levels, and created an energy that had everyone talking about it for weeks afterward. Our team walked away with both memories and real lessons about communication and resilience. Highly recommended.

Common questions

Do participants need any experience?

No. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced fencers. Our coaches tailor activities so everyone is challenged appropriately and has fun. We can also customise by skill level if your group has mixed experience.

What is the cost?

Pricing depends on group size, duration, location, and customisation. We provide transparent quotes based on your specific needs. Contact us for a proposal tailored to your company.

Can you accommodate different ages and abilities?

Yes. Fencing is inclusive. Age, fitness level, and size do not determine success. We have experience with groups spanning ages 18 to 65+ and can structure activities so everyone participates meaningfully.

What is required for an on-site program?

We typically need a space roughly 20m by 10m (a large conference room, gym, or open area). We provide all equipment. Setup typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, and we handle logistics completely.

How do you measure success?

We focus on engagement, fun, and team connection. Participants leave energised, with shared accomplishments and memories. We can also gather feedback surveys to measure team perception shifts.

How large a group can you handle?

From small teams to large departments. We regularly run sessions for 15 to 40 people and can scale up to 200 or more with the right venue and additional coaches. Tell us your headcount and we will structure the format and coach ratio to suit.

Can you come to our office, or do we come to you?

Both. We can bring a full mobile setup to your office, function room, hotel ballroom, or offsite venue, or host your team at our studio at 177 Ubi Avenue 4 #02-00. We will recommend whichever works best for your group size and schedule.

How physically demanding is it, and what should we wear?

It is active but accessible. Fencing rewards strategy as much as speed, so everyone can take part at their own pace. Comfortable clothing and covered sports shoes are all that is needed. We provide all protective gear and blades.

Is fencing suitable for a conference energiser or dinner and dance?

Yes. Alongside full team building sessions, we run shorter demonstrations, "have a go" booths, and exhibition bouts that work well as ice-breakers, offsite highlights, conference energisers, and event entertainment. And yes, taking a friendly, fully protected touch on the boss is always a crowd favourite.

Corporate fencing FAQ

Usually HR, people and culture teams, or a team lead planning an offsite. We work with whoever is coordinating the event and can loop in facilities or admin as needed.

Yes. Fencing puts everyone on equal footing regardless of title, age or fitness level, which is part of why companies use it for offsites. Coaches structure the activity so no one is singled out or left out.

Yes, the format is flexible and can slot in as one segment of a longer offsite or stand alone as the main activity. Let us know your agenda and we will fit around it.

We bring and set up all fencing equipment, and no experience is needed from participants. Your team just needs to provide the space, whether that is your office or an external venue.

Scheduling varies depending on the season and group size, so it is best to enquire early, especially for larger offsites. Reach out to enquiries@fencingmasters.com to check availability.
